Christmas Fun!

Here are some pictures of our fun times this Christmas.

Our Christmas Card picture.
One evening we spent walking around Old Sacramento
We went to Amador City which is this cute little town not far from us. They had a bunch of cute antique type stores. This is a picture of Presleigh with her uncle Devin on Santa's sleigh.

Christmas Day Presleigh and Delaney spent some time jumping on the trampoline before dinner. Isn't this picture so funny. Total action shot.

Here is Presleigh and Hadley all ready to go eat some yummy Christmas dinner. Can you see Pres' little pony tail? I can't believe she is finally getting some hair. Too bad she only lets Aunt Julie put pretties in it.
Noah with his Grandma Rhinehart. So glad I captured this sweet moment.

Here are the little ones in their matching pajamas!

Presleigh was very excited about her elmo slippers. Everytime she saw them at Target she would ask me to put them on her, and now she doesn't want to wear normal shoes. Here we are on Christmas Eve.

I love this picture of the kids. They almost look like they could be twins.

One night I found Presleigh sitting on top of her nightstand pointing at the window and I couldn't really understand what she wasy saying. Then she lifted up the blinds and I realized she was pointing at a big bright blow up santa across the street. I kept finding her in there talking about santa and sometimes he wouldn't be blown up and so she'd say "santa night night" She's so funny, and is always saying the funniest things.

The first night my family got to town our subdivision had a parade. The parade was full of people who had decorated their golf carts with Christmas lights. It was a fun little outting and Presleigh loved to see all the lights.

Thank goodness for Christmas Company.......

Well we have finally decided that it's time to move completely into our home. It's only taken us about 6 months to hang up our mirrors and shelves and other decor on the walls. I guess we started getting lazy with the unpacking because this was our 5th move in a year. Good excuse right. Our house is actually starting to feel like a home. It's much more cozy with stuff on the walls. I'm giving all the credit to my family who is coming for the holidays in just 2 days. I want my house to be pretty much how I want it before they get here, so i've kicked it in to high gear and started getting busy on organizing and decorating. Here are a couple of our (yes, my hubby has been helping me a ton) newly completed projects. This table was actually Wayne's old computer desk. I decided to give it a new coat of "vintage map" paint and make it my new sewing table. I am so excited to have my own little space in our bedroom to work on my sewing projects. Maybe now I can finish those stockings!

This is a picture of our computer armoire that we just revamped. I wish I had a before picture because this was the most hideous thing ever. We picked it up at a garage sale last weekend. Paint is a miracle worker cause this thing looks pretty dang good now. I love that it hides all of our office stuff which is a good thing because this is in our front room. The two chairs on each side of the armoire we got off of craigslist, there is actually four of them spread throughout the house and they are screaming for a coat of paint and some fun orange Amy Butler fabric. I can't wait to fix those up. That's all on the painting projects. I know you're wondering about the beautiful credenza but i'm just not ready to paint that baby yet.
Stay tuned for the rest of the painted furniture... Isn't this the most adorable picture ever. I just love this kiddo so much. This little face just tells you what a happy sweet boy he is. Just looking at this picture makes me want to go kiss his chubby cheeks right this minute!!

Snow?????

So this is what Wayne got to wake up to the morning of his birthday. I guess we brought the snow with us to California. Luckily it did not stick because not having to deal with snow is one of the reasons why we love this place. It was fun for little Presleigh to see, somehow she remembered what snow is from spending last year in freezing Utah. My little girl has a memory like her daddy.

We had a fun birthday gathering for Wayne Monday night with all of our local family and a couple friends. I think there were like 15 little kiddos running around my little home. If you can't imagine it was loud and crazy, but the kids had so much fun playing together and the adults got to chit chat a little too. This is Wayne's birthday cake which I did not make him. My friend actually made this deliciousness.

It's so nice to have friends and family to spend time with. It's been a while since we've gotten to celebrate a birthday like this and I think i've warmed Wayne up to big birthdays:) hehe. Thanks everyone for coming and helping make his day special.

Thanksgiving and Random Fun

Here are some fun pictures of the kiddos.

I love this picture because it shows that her hair is actually growing.
Presleigh has been really into putting my shoes on. I'm surprised at how well she can walk in my heels. This in Noah on Thanksgiving. I love it that I can at least get him to wear a hat.
Presleigh on Thanksgiving. We had such a nice Thanksgiving this year. We spent most of the day in our pajamas and then went over to our friends house for some yummy dinner that evening.
Here's Wayne sneaking a brownie cupcake.
Presleigh sporting my shoes again.

Projects!!!!!

I'm sure that my sweet hubby is getting sick of me searching Craigslist for great deals on furniture that he definitely does not want to move. He even told me last night that I should probably finish the projects that i've already started before looking for a grandma (aka. Wing back) chair to reupholster. I'm sure he's right, so here is a glimpse of some of the projects that I need to finish before I can get my wingback chair.

The Credenza: I think I've decided that i'm gonna paint this beauty a peacock blue with some gold hardware. And I think i'm going to keep it in my front room. This is the quilt that I've been working on for Presleigh's bed. It is going to be perfect. I am so excited to get this done but it's my first quilt so it's taking me some time. Plus I don't need it done until January for her birthday, so other christmas things come first.

This a pic of our torn up front living area. Until last night it was our formal dining area but i'm thinking its going to be another living area so the kiddos have more space to play in. That entertainment center where our TV is we got for free and it came with two other pieces all of which I'm planning on restaining.
This is some of the felt food that i've been working on for Presleigh for Christmas. I still have so much more to make, and you would be surprised how long this stuff takes. It'll will be nice and fun play food and also safe around baby boy so i'm excited about it. Here are our Christmas stockings. Not your traditional stockings and they are not even close to finished but they will be super cute hung on our fireplace.
These are Noah's christmas present. Soft fabric blocks! I'm gonna put some letters on them and then call them good.

It's definitely hard to find time to create things with two little ones but these projects keep me sane and give my mind some excersise:)

Montana Itch

So I pretty much have been craving a trip to Montana ever since Noah was born. Some think i'm crazy for wanting to take multiple trips to visit my fam a year, but I say "isn't that one of the best things about having a family." I'm so happy that my parents gave me siblings so that we could grow up and be the best of friends. I guess we could be the best of friends over the phone, but it is definitely not the same.

I don't really need to live next door to my parentals although that would be nice;) I would just like to take the family to go visit their aunts and uncles and cousins and grandparents a little more often. I have come to realize though that when you decide to move 20 hours away from your family it makes trips a little more difficult. That is when you have to convince your family to come see you. This is something that I have half way accomplished.

I am so excited to have my dad coming to visit us for three whole weeks in December. Yes my hubby is amazing but so is my dad. I guess we are gonna get to know a little of how it would feel to live next door to my parents or how about live with. I am so glad that I will have the opportunity to spend some good quality time with my father. I am even more excited that my kiddos will get to spend time with their Papa, even if they won't really remember we will definitely take lots of video to remind them. My mother will then make her appearance for a week during Christmas. It's only been two years since i've had a Christmas with my parents um yeah that's like a lifetime, so i am sooooooo excited! well I should probably stop rambling about how much i miss and love my family, and how much i wish I could road trip it to Montana. For now i'll have to be happy with a little montana feel through my sweet parents over Christmas!

Random Fun!!!!!

I got these super cute rain boots for a steal and Presleigh loves them!! Last year I looked all over for rainboots that would fit her, so I was very excited to find these ones.
Here is our sweet boy just chillen out.
Right out of High school my uncle helped me change the brake pads on my car and after I was done my mother took a picture of me with my greased up hands. Well, this weekend Wayne changed the brakes on his car and so I decided to take a picture of the moment. He tried to copy my pose from my pic. I'm so lucky to have a man who can fix things!! We call him "Handy Daddy"

Presleigh has had a cold all week and so Wayne decided to stay home with the kids today. You can imagine from this picture how well that went:)

My new project, not that I've finished all my others. I've been looking for quite a while now for a credenza that I could paint for Presleigh's new big girl decor and I finally talked Wayne into this one. He picked it up for me and I am so excited. It is super heavy duty and perfect to store her toys and junk in, at least I think that's what i'm gonna use it for. Now I just need to decide on a color. Yellow? Green? Red? what do you think?
Presleigh thinks it's her new toy!!!

4 months pics

I know people don't usually get their babies pics taken at 4 months, but that is the strange month that I had Presleigh's taken in, so I wanted to be consistent. So here are a few of the pictures we got taken today. I think they turned out super cute.

Happy 4 months!!!!!

My sweet baby boy is already 4 months. It's crazy how fast the last few months have gone by. We are so busy (which I really do love). Noah is as sweet as he can be. I love this little chubber so much it's almost unhealthy. I also love that he takes a pacifier, falls asleep on his own for most of the night, and sleeps with a special blanket. This boy is a dream baby. I think i'll take about 6 more of him.
I also have to say that this boy loves his sister. He loves to talk to her and give her open mouth kisses. Presleigh can always get him to smile. I love to watch them together. I can't believe how they already interact so much, it's so adorable. What a blessing it is to have 2 amazing little ones!!

Little Green Chair part 2

So I wasn't lying about the little green chair. It drives me crazy how Presleigh drags the thing all over the house. Even when she doesn't need it to climb on things, she still likes to go grab her chair. Here is my proof... today she would not stop asking for candy. So I figured that if I moved the candy out of sight it'd be out of her mind. Well, I was wrong. I was feeding Noah and could here her doing something in my bedroom, and this is what I found.

Here are some pictures of our trip to Apple Hill.
