It's Official...

Well at least I hope it is. Presleigh has successfully gone to bed by 8:30 for the past 3 nights, and I think she is finally on an early schedule. I was stressing so much about trying to get her on an earlier schedule so that Wayne and I would have some time at night to ourselves, and also because I want her all adjusted before the new baby gets here. It's amazing how well she goes to bed now that she is going so much earlier. I think she was probably overly tired. Poor little thing!! So now the next big thing is getting her off the bottle. I have started by not giving her a bottle for her nap, which has been a struggle. The big step is going to be her night time bottle. It's crazy how attached she is to that thing. If any of you have any ideas on how to get her off the bottle please let me know.

Baby Boy!!!

We've know since the beginning of the month but i thought that we should let everyone know that we will be having a baby boy join our little fam in July. I don't know why but having a boy makes me so nervous. I guess I feel like it's my first child again just because of the gender. It's crazy. So now we just need to agree on a name. It's funny cuz with Presleigh it was so easy, i had her name picked out since 6th grade and wayne loved it. She was Presleigh even before we knew she was a girl (well i pretty much always knew she was a girl). With this little guy it's been a little more difficult because Wayne just happens to be a 2nd. So we're trying to decide if we should carry on the family name. Anyway... We are 23 weeks along now and it's going so fast.

We really haven't been up to very much lately. Wayne is still in the middle of tax season so we don't get to see much of him these days. We did enjoy a weekend visit to Wayne's sister's house in St. George a couple weeks ago. Our nephew just got home from a mission, and we were lucky to be able to attend his homecoming. I love being able to get together with Wayne's family. We always feel so strengthened by their great example. I love it, I married into a great family!!

Presleigh has been really into her stuffed animals lately. She can't go into her crib or out of it without her teddy. She only says a few words but teddy is definitely one of them and it is so stinkin cute! She also loves to give high fives and we just started doing "down low, you're to slow" it's so funny how excited she gets when she actually hits one of our hands. I'll try and post a video one of these days. She could play that game for hours. She also loves to twirl. She doesn't really do it on her own though, she likes to hold on to my finger and spin. She's turning into quite the jabber-mouth. She's always talking, and i wish i could understand what she's saying. If she's anything like I was, I won't be able to understand her until she's like 5. We are having so much fun with her though, she's so adorable.

Montana

Well we just got back this last weekend from a two week stay in Montana. Wayne is in the middle of tax season so he is always at the office late, so I decided that I needed a little vacation. It was perfect timing because Pres and I caught a ride there with my mother who was in Provo working on wedding plans for my sis. Then we caught a ride back to Provo with my Aunt. I don't think that I could make the drive alone with Presleigh because i'm constantly having to give her toys and treats on the way.

It was so nice to be there for two whole weeks because i didn't feel rushed to see everyone or rushed to get all the things done I wanted. We spent a few days over at my sister Kim's house. She was super Preggers while we were there so i wanted to help her get some things done. Although I have to admit I didn't help her much. But our little one's did get to play together. I also got to be there when she had her little baby Aubrey. What a sweet little baby girl she is.

My mother and I spent a lot of time sewing while I was there. I finally got to make this super cute Amy Butler bag i've been wanting. I'll post a pic sometime soon. My mother did most of the hard work on it but it turned out very cute! I also worked on a couple recieving blankets for the new baby. They are adorable. I'm so excited to find out what we're having so we can start working on the nursery.

I was also able to get a little bit of geneology done with my father. I always promise him we'll work on stuff and then i flake, so i was happy that we were able to spend some time putting names into his PAF.

Presleigh learned some new tricks while we were there. Her uncle Devin taught her to give a high five. Papa taught her to wink. Little Preston taught her how to go down the stairs backwards. Grandma taught her how to cover her mouth when she coughs. And unfortunately my uncle taught her how to pick her nose. She also picked up on patty cake, and she shows us how old she is too.

We had such a good time visiting family, but we were definitely ready to be back home with Wayne. Presleigh was very excited to see her daddy and now runs to him every day when he gets home. She use to run to me when she heard him at the door.

Update

It's been a long time since i've posted anything so I decided I would give a little update. Well for those of you who hadn't heard we moved to Richfield, UT at the beginning of December. Wayne is doing accounting with a friend from college and is really enjoying it. Although there aren't many places to shop, unless you love Walmart, I'm actually enjoying living in this small town. We hope that everything works out so we don't have to move again.
We spent our Christmas in Kanab, with Wayne's brother and his family. We had such a fun time. Presleigh had a blast playing with her cousins and loved her new toys. We love visiting and playing games with Rick and Camie.
We also celebrated Presleigh's first birthday on the 11th. Presleigh loved being able to dig into her birthday cake. As you can tell she was a mess!

The Secret

Here are some pics that i took with my new camera. I picked it up last week from Costco. Thanks to everyone who posted a comment giving me some advice. I decided on the Nikon d60 and I love it. It's kind of overwhelming all the settings and trying to figure out how to use it but i'm excited to figure it out.
Also we were gonna wait to tell everyone but i'm so excited that I can't keep my mouth shut. We were trying to keep it a secret in case something happened but i'm not very good with secrets that are this exciting. We are expecting baby #2! We are so excited for this baby and can't wait to have another little one running around. We will keep ya posted on the new pregnancy.

Teething, Walking, Dancing and Sick

Well Presleigh is just getting over hand foot and mouth disease. It was awful. I thought that she was just teething at first but then she was pretty much crying nonstop so we took her to the doc. He said that she had like 6 open sores in her little mouth. I felt so bad, i know that she was in so much pain, and i kept trying to give her juice to keep her hydrated. Not a very good choice. But i was right on the teething part. She was getting her bottom 2 teeth at the same time as her sore throat. Presleigh just started walking this week as well. She can stand for a long time and takes about 5 steps. She gets so excited when she does, it's so stinkin cute. I wish i had pictures but my camera doesn't shoot fast enough. But tomorrow we're gonna go shopping for a new SLR so i'll post some soon. She's also been dancing like crazy. Wayne taught her this funky dance and so she bends her knees and shakes her bum as soon as she hears music. We had so much fun tonight because the CMA's were on, so she was getting down to country music. We also went and got the second round of Presleigh's flu shot yesterday and now she has a runny nose and some raspy cough going on. Anyone know if this could be from the flu shot?
About that SLR that we're shopping for. I really don't know much about cameras but the Nikon d60 is on sale at costco so that's the one i have my eye on. For all of you who have good cameras please let me know if that's a good choice, I was kindda torn between the d60 and d40. Let me know what you think
