A Spooky Halloween

Spooky is one of Noah's favorite words right now. It's so cute to hear him say spooky instead of scary:) We had a very low key Halloween this year. I was all excited to make the kids alice in wonderland costumes but then I lost my motivation and we decided to dig out the costume box. Noah was given this cute buzz costume from my sister and he was super excited about it. Presleigh kept changing what she wanted to be but then found her old Minnie Mouse costume and decided on that. I barely took any pictures:(

We started the night over in the Lewis Family's subdivision. The families in that neighborhood set up their chairs around the park and the little ones just walked around the path to get their candy. It was perfect for our little ones because they were able to walk around the park without getting too tired. It was super crowded though so our little ones were having a hard time getting to trick or treat. At one point Presleigh said to me "Mom, getting candy is hard." After the Lewis' we went back to our own subdivision and walked around one of the loops. By then Noah was super tired and cold so Wayne held him most the time. But Presleigh and Mommy were running from house to house. Then we went home had some yummy hot chocolate and a very late dinner. It was a very very fun night.

Yesterday Presleigh asked for some candy and when I told her that it is all gone, she said to me. "I think we need to do some more trick or treating, to get more candy." Yeah, I wish every day could be halloween!!!

No more monkeys jumping on the bed!!!

The other day I spent a lot of time catching up on house work. I cleaned my bedding and then iron it too so that I would have a nice crisp white bed:) After I finished the kiddos were trying to get on my bed to jump on it. I quickly put a stop to it. But then a little while later I caught Noah being sneaky and quietly playing on my bed. I decided to just let it go and ignore him. Then I hear him run out of my room.

N: "Sissy hurry come here"

N "Sissy hurry come here!"

M: "No guys we don't jump on the bed"

P: "Yeah Noah we can only jump on our beds"

M: "No, we don't jump on any beds, we treat the furniture nicely."

P: "But mom! We don't have a trampoline!"

M: "So, that doesn't mean we can jump on furniture"

P: " Well what are we going to jump on?"

M: "The floor"

Then Presleigh jumps up and down a few times, looks at me and says "That's not fun mom."

She was totally cracking me up. Seriously I wish I knew what went on in their little minds:)

Random Pictures

Noah Playing dress up. I think Presleigh helped him put the neck ties on:) A couple weeks ago Wayne volunteered to take the missionaries up the mountain to Cascade, ID. He wasn't going to be back in time to be with the kiddos while I went to work so he came home right before lunch and picked the kiddos up to take them on a little road trip. We had just watched 17 miracles so I made sure to pack up the car with as much winter gear as I could find and I sent them off. But first I took a couple pictures:)

It was a nice little break for me that day. I was able to start working on my Christmas projects and got a ton of things done for the kiddos.

A Visit From the Shepherd Family

A couple weeks ago my sister Julie had fall break from school so her little fam decided to come visit us for a few days. It is always so fun to have them come visit. We love their family so much and Presleigh and Noah can't get enough of them:) They had so much fun with their sweet cousin Laila. Presleigh asked to hold her a ton and Laila was so good to let her most of the time. Laila was so adorable smiling and laughing at Pres and Noah. I think these little ones are gonna be the best of friends as they grow older. And I think that my kiddos are ready for their baby sister to join in the fun:)

It's a...

GIRL!!!

After having our ultrasound pushed back a couple weeks, we were finally able to go in last week as a family and find out that we will be welcoming a sweet baby girl into our fam at the beginning of March. Presleigh is super excited to have a baby sister and Noah doesn't seem to care that much. Noah actually slept through most of the ultrasound, but when he woke up and saw what was going on he said, "baby." Presleigh was already quite sure that she would be having a baby sister so she wasn't surprised. Wayne and I were pretty confident we were having a girl too.

We do not have a name picked out. We are throwing around a few, but we probably won't decide til baby girl gets here.

She was so cute during her ultrasound. It is totally amazing to me that technology allows us to actually watch our babies while they are still in the belly. I love being able to see her, to get a glimpse of her little personality:) She was totally stretched out for most of it. Her little legs were stretched out completely and every once in a while she would cross her little ankles. We got a nice litte profile shot and her mouth immediately reminded us of Noah's. I had another ultrasound yesterday to measure her. She is measuring right on and is just under 1 pound. We already love her so so much!!!!

So now the fun begins. Lots of baby projects. I probably won't start them until all of my Christmas projects are finished though.

Farm Days

For Presleigh's preschool we got to spend a day at a local farm. Noah and I got to tag along too.
The kiddos each got to pick out a pumpkin and paint it.

And play on a tractor:)

and eat yummy fresh apples.

It was Presleigh's good friend Saylor's birthday last week and we celebrated by playing at a nearby farm. It was a super cute place with fun farm rides and a huge pumpkin patch. The kids had so much fun:)

This is Presleigh with Saylor being pulled by a tractor.

Noah got to ride too. He had just woken up so he was a little stiff on the ride:)

Was Blind But Now I See

My eyes have been giving me some trouble for a while now. I wear the night and day contacts so I have been able to sleep in my contacts as much and as often as I want. But lately my eyes have been bugging me. They had started burning and itching when I would take my contacts out. I have been wearing my contacts less and less and have not been wearing them at night for quite a while because of the burning when I would take them out.

Well last week I decided to wear my contacts to work one night and then I slept in them. The next day I took Presleigh to preschool and I noticed that my vision was sort of hazy. It looked like there was smoke all around me. So after preschool I took my contacts out. The next little while I could see alright, my eyes were doing the burning and itching thing but then it just got worse and worse. By about 3:00 I couldn't even open my eyes because they hurt so bad, and when I did everything was super blurry. I managed to call an eye doctor to see if they could get me in real quick for an emergency but they told me I would need to go to the ER. Totally lame! So then I called my husband and told him that he needed to come home from work because I couldn't see, and I was losing it:) When I was talking to him I tried really hard to open my eyes and tried to calm down a little bit (I was in so much pain) but then I put on my glasses and I still could not see. Everything was super blurry with my glasses on so I started to panic a little bit. I was afraid that my eyes were just going to get worse and worse if I didn't see a doctor. I could not stop thinking of my grandma who went blind when she was in her 30's (I think). I was trying really hard not to think the worst.

Wayne came home, looked at my eyes and we decided to go to the ER. I guess they were really red. We took our kids to the Lewis' and I had Wayne and John give me a blessing. I was finally able to calm down a little bit. Then my cousin John got a hold of his Bishop who is an Eye Doctor and I got to talk to him and tell him what was going on with my eyes. He told me that he could meet us at his office that night at 7:45. What a blessing!!!

Dr. Cleverly numbed my eyes which felt so stinkin good. then he was able to dialate them and look at them. He told us that my corneas were all mashed up apparently because they weren't getting enough oxygen. He said that it was probably from sleeping in my contacts but could also be from my pregnancy. Luckily my eyes didn't have an ulcer on them though. He gave me a prescription and sent me home with some cream to put in my eyes. I thought I was in the clear because I was still feeling good from the numbing but about 15 minutes later it wore off and It felt like needles in my eyes once again.

I had the hardest time falling asleep that first night because of the pain. I never realized how much my eyes move around when falling asleep, but everytime my eyeballs would move a certain way I would have shooting pain which would cause me to jump.

Wayne was the best. He seriously took such good care of me. He helped get me things and guided me as I walked. I couldn't really see for about 24 straight hours and It was terrible. The pain made it extra bad though. I remember asking Wayne if he would take care of me if I went blind, he of course told me I was going to be fine.

Thank goodness he was right:)
