My camera was left in my suitcase the whole weekend so I do not have any pictures of this trip. Hopefully my mother will send me some of hers and then I can upload them.
So the kids and I rode with my brother and his family to Utah over conference weekend. We left late Thursday evening and then drove home Sunday after the morning session of conference.
We had been planning this getaway since Liz was baptized but I wasn't going to be able to make it because Wayne had a test that weekend. But then I decided that the kids and I would just hitch a ride with them. Liz wanted to go to Utah to see all of the church history sights, so we decided to try to get tickets to conference so that it would make the trip extra special. My mother was able to get tickets for the Sunday morning session and she offered to watch the kiddos so that I could go with Darren, Liz, Dev, and Jules.
The kids and I stayed at Wayne's parents and got to visit with them a little. We also got to spend a little bit of time with Victoria and her cute little ones. Presleigh and Noah loved seeing their cousins.
Friday we spent the day at temple square. We walked around and checked everything out, and then got to watch the Joseph smith movie that evening. Saturday we spent the day shopping. We went to gardener village (my favorite) and then to the mall. That night we celebrated Lizzy's birthday with some tacos, cake and the nickelcade. We had a lot of fun. Presleigh loved playing the games and getting lots of tickets. Then Sunday we got to go to conference.
Conference was amazing as usual, I love when we are able to go to the conference center to enjoy conference live. I am so grateful for Prophets who are called of God to give us guidance and counsel. I look forward to conference every 6 months and this one was extra special because I got to enjoy it with my newly converted family members. It was a great weekend.

My baby isn't cold
I feel like I have a sign on my forehead the reads I NEED HELP. I don't know what it is, maybe it's not even me, but why on earth do people feel like they can just offer up all sorts of advice when it's not even asked for? I know sometimes we learn things that we want everyone else to do or learn as well, so we decide that we need to tell everyone about it. Not a great idea. If advice is wanted it will probably be asked for.

Athlete of the year? Not so much!!!
When I was in the eighth grade I received the athlete of the year award. It was a huge deal to me. It meant speeches to give and a banner with my name on it hung in the junior high gym for years to come. All the coaches voted on it, and i'm not kidding girls cried when they didn't win. I participated in every sport I could so that I could win the award. My parents were awesome and put me in just about every sport they could from a very young age. I played basketball, floor hockey, volleyball, softball, soccer, and track. I loved every bit of it. By the time high school hit I started losing interest and focused solely on basketball. I use to get done with two a day practices and just feel completely dead tired. I actually enjoyed that feeling.
I don't write this to toot my own horn, I'm writing this to remind myself that I can do it. To give me something to think about while I run a few miles around my neighborhood. To keep me from giving up after 5 minutes.
I know that athlete is still inside of me, she just wanted a 7 year break. The break is over. I'm officiallly adding running to my list of sports.

My sweet Presleigh
Here's Presleigh on her first day of Joy school. She was so excited to go to school. She packed her backpack full of her baby doll and blanket. Her cousins Gavin and Hadley (both live with us) go to school so she was feeling pretty cool being able to tell everyone that she got to go to school too. This little girl has been such a sweetie lately. She is so funny and full of personality. I've realized how much she really does listen to what I say, she loves to copy me. Like when she says to her cousins, "ask me nicely." I love when she tells me "thank you for opening the door mommy." She has good manners. She told me yesterday after school that she learned about apples. She said "a-a apple" and when I said apple she said "no, a-a apple." She loves her little brother and is starting to call him her brother which is so cute. She also thinks that she is the boss of him. When I tell Noah something she says to me "Mommy I am the boss" it's funny because I am constantly telling her that I am the boss and to worry about herself. She is also learning about boys and girls. She says daddy and Noah are boys and Presleigh and Mommy are pretty girls.
Last week we found a dead squirrel in our backyard, which was a little scary since we have rattlesnakes in our area. She talked about the squirrel for days. About how uncle darren killed it (he really just disposed of it, but that's the part she saw so apparently she got confused).
She likes to pick out her own clothes and always wants to wear dresses. She's very girly.
The other day after she went potty she got off gave me a big hug and said, "mommy I soooooo happy." I love that she is a happy girl these days. We are enjoying eachother a lot more when she is:)

P or F????
We did it!!!!!! Wayne passed his first section of the CPA exam. What an amazing feeling to have one of them passed. He's been studying for so long and didn't think that he had passed. I tell him to have more confidence, I knew he could do it. I'm so proud of him and am so grateful to have such a hardworking husband.
1 down 3 more sections to go!!!!
