Lipstick battle
A couple weeks ago Presleigh and I were having lots of battles over my lipstick. She seemed to not be able to get enough of smearing my lipstick all over her face. I was trying to keep my bag off the floor and in places that she couldn't reach so that she wouldn't get into my make-up. But it's like she could not resist. One day I think I caught her like three times putting my lipstick on and basically ruining it. I was not too happy but these pictures are kind of cute.
She even put it on Delaney
Tahoe!!!!!
Last summer we didn't get the chance to go to Tahoe because Noah was a brand new baby. So I was very excited when my cousin asked me to come up with her family for a couple days, last month. Wayne wasn't able to come because of CPA stuff, so I took the kids and went up with Christy. It was so nice to spend two days just relaxing on the beach. Presleigh had so much fun. She liked the kiddie pool at the hotel the most. Noah sat on the blanket and wouldn't get off because the sand was super hot, so he just played. I'm hoping to make it there every summer while we live so close.

Vacuum Craze
I love to vacuum. I'm not sure why but it relaxes me. I remember when I was a young girl I begged my parents to buy a Kirby vacuum. I promised my mother that I would vacuum all of the time if she bought one. She didn't ever end up getting one, but now I seem to vacuum all of the time with my whimppy bissell. Since moving here I've made a friend who, like me, loves to vacuum. I was always amazed at the vacuum lines in her carpet everytime I went to her house. I was wondering why the heck I wasn't getting the fresh vacuum lines in my carpet and decided that it was because I needed a new one. So I started searching online for a nice vacuum. So my sweet friend comes over one day and starts trying to vacuum with my vacuum. It wasn't working very well so she started cleaning it out. this is a picture of some things that she got out of the hose.
I know it's nasty and yes that is the lid to deodorant. I was so excited when she got it all cleaned out cause I thought it was going to be like a new vacuum. Then we discovered that the brush wasn't spinning, the belt had broke. So with a clean hose and a new belt we got the vacuum working like new. And finally i'm getting the lines in my carpet.
Way Back
These pictures go way back. Yeah they are from pioneer day which is July 24th for those of you who read our blog and didn't know. I thought that I should probably update what we've been up to the last month or so. It's been really crazy busy and very exciting. Pioneer Day we spent at the park. The stake put something together and we got to eat yummy food and play.

Miracle day!!!
I didn't think that moving here so close to my family would be a hard thing. I was super excited about living down the street from all of them, but I didn't realize that our lifestyle differences would cause me such heartache. My brother Darren is the oldest in our family and he fell away from the church about 20 years ago. This has always been a tough thing for our family, but got even tougher when we moved close and were right in the middle of it. My cousin Dustin has a similar story, and him and Darren are like best friends. They both married non members and have cute little families. When Wayne got the job out here I was so glad that we would be moving to a place where we had some family. We moved right down the street from both these families so that I could do daycare for all the cousins.
I can't even express the emotions that I have felt the last month, as both families have made huge changes in their lives. The best way to describe might be, constant tears. I swear the tears comes every time I just think about it. My sister-in-law and cousin were both baptized the same day (July 10, 2010) along with my 8 year old cousin. I had the opportunity to speak about baptism on their special day and I will never forget the spirit that was in that room. Our family has witnessed a miracle and it has made all of the moves to get here so worth it. We are so happy for these families and can't wait to see what the future will bring for them.
Here are some pictures from their baptism. So sad that I don't have any of Lizzy and Jen. Hopefully someone will send me one soon.
