Our 4th of July was a good one this year. We got up early for our Ward breakfast and ate delicious french toast and ham. Then we went and got some fireworks for later that night. We stopped by the Lewis' for a little while and visited with their family. We went swimming with some friends at our old neighborhood pool. Then we headed over to the Hoops' home for some yummy barbeque. The kids had so much fun with their friends and it was so nice to spend time with good friends.
That night we went to Storey Park for the annual fireworks. They were pretty lame compared to the Laurel fireworks show that I grew up watching but the kids loved them. They had fun running around with their glow sticks and then cuddled up with us to watch the fireworks. towards the end of the fireworks we heard screaming and then saw that the sprinklers had turned on right next to wear we were sitting. We didn't want to be next to get sprayed so we left early. This helped us avoid traffic and we were able to watch the grand finale from our car on the way home.
